Respond Partners with AATI

Respond Crisis Translation is thrilled to announce a formal partnership with The Argentine Association of Translators and Interpreters: AATI.
AATI is a non-governmental organization that has been bringing together scientific, technical and literary translators and interpreters since 1982. It is part of many international and national Forums for language specialists. It is a full-member of FIT (Fédération Internationale des Traducteurs / International Federation of Translators), an international collective of translator associations, interpreters and terminologists, to which more than 130 professional associations and training institutes are affiliated, representing more than 85,000 translators in 55 countries, and FIT-Latam, among others. Only qualified translators and interpreters or professionals with proven experience can be members of AATI since its members are required to meet a certain quality standard as language professionals.
Earlier this year our collaboration with AATI began through a member of our leadership team, who is an active AATI member, prompting the organization to start encouraging its translators to join Respond. Roughly six months later, we are pleased to announce this new partnership.
Through this partnership, we will strengthen our linguistic and quality outcomes, increase our capacity for training, and share best translation practices with leaders in the field. We look forward to welcoming more of AATI´s professional translators to join Respond´s network and to partake in our urgent work providing compassionate and trauma-informed translation support to people experiencing any sort of vulnerability or crisis.
We want to thank all of AATI’s board members for enabling this partnership and, particularly, extend our gratitude to AATI’s President, Marita Propato, and to Alejandra Rogante, member of the board and director of the organization’s Calidoscopio, AATI’s bimonthly publication.
