Afghan Languages Team Project Manager

Himself an Afghan refugee currently living in Pakistan with his family, Muhammad is passionate about helping refugees however he can. He has been translating and interpreting in Farsi, Dari and Pashto for more than two decades. He had the opportunity to work as both an official translator and interpreter, as well as being the Interpreters’ Team Lead, for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and its Implementing Partners such as ICMC and Society for Human Rights and Prisoners’ Aid (SHARP) for over 12 years.

With an MBA in general management and expertise in languages, Yaseen so far has had the chance to work as translator, interpreter, International Protection Associate, RSD Liaison Specialist Officer, Protection Focal Person, Facility Manager, Deputy HR Manager, Global Operations Consultant-Afghanistan and HR Manager with different well-reputed organizations such as UNHCR, SHARP, ICMC, IMR, Premise Data Corporation and Integrated Health Services (IHS).

He is fluent in Farsi, Dari, Pashto, Urdu and English and has advanced working knowledge of Arabic and Punjabi, and loves reading and playing cricket in his leisure time.
